Biography

Emy is a sparkling new singer songwriter bursting into the Brighton scene. 21 year old Emy isn't pretending to be anything she's not. She tells it like it is and her unique perspective offers a rare emotionally connecting intensity through its gripping lyrical bite & heartfelt melody. Her lyrics show that she is wise beyond her years and she writes with as much honesty and awkwardness as any teenager and even adults feel every day. Her songs show that music can be unique and be real but still have mainstream appeal. The catchy choruses of her songs are substantial, thanks to Emy's unorthodox intonation quirks of Alanis Morrissette.

It's hard to define exactly what genre Emy falls into as an artist, but let's just say that she's a little bit of Avril Lavigne, Alanis Morissette, Michelle Branch and Sheryl Crow...but she’s a young and fresh English version!

Pop radio will love Emy for her incredibly catchy hooks, & alternative radio will give her songs a few spins because she’s a girl with a guitar. Everyone wins. She is a great singer, songwriter and performer who is just waiting for you to discover her!

As well as aiming to become a damn successful singer/songwriter, she aspires to get a publishing deal as a commercial writer for the many pop stars in the world who are in desperate need of a good pop song! She loves to write pure pop from the style of Girls Aloud and The Sugar Babes through to the High School Musical soundtrack. She knows that she can’t do these songs justice in the sparkly land of teeny bopper pop, but hopes to get the chance to give her songs to artists who can!

I am currently recording a high quality demo in London! Soho to be exact which is a nice little area! It is ever so exciting as I have session musicians playing on the tracks and a wikid producer. I have been offered a development deal with Play Studios. (These are the people who are orgonising the recordings) Im pushing really hard for an orchestra on my songs (being the cheaky likttle 'rock star' that I am!) But i'm not sure they are convinced as of yet! I'll keep trying! Once the demo is finished I will begin performing over London and Brighton and getting slots on the local radio stations to promote myself. It's all very exciting! I'll keep you posted on how everything goes!
